INDIA W. HOOKS SOUTHWORTH, age 92, of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 11:57 a.m. at the Court House Manor Nursing Home. She was born on August 21, 1922 in Richmond Dale, Ohio to Chauncey and Cora Maple Reisinger. She was a 1939 Good Hope graduate. She was a member of the South Side Church of Christ where she had served as a Sunday School teacher for more than 25 years and also had served as the missionary secretary. She enjoyed reading and was known as a great cook and baker. India was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Charles S. Hooks, her second husband, Paul Southworth, siblings Adelia Mae Nichols, Janey Cleo Acord, Coyt Jonathan Reisinger, Thorbert William "Bill" Reisinger, Delsey Garna Kathern Dalton, Lee Wayne Reisinger, Garland Avery Reisinger, Seymour Edgar Reisinger, Eulaloh Viola Reisinger and Georgia Albay Reisinger. Survivors include her children Zola Jane (Emil) Doddroe and Joletta "Jodi" Eggleton; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; sister Gail Prentice Smith as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the South Side Church of Christ, 921 S. Fayette St., Washington CH, with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery.
