IRA "SAM" ARBOGAST, age 75, of Washington CH, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at his home. He was born on October 8, 1940 in Glady, West Virginia to Sam and Pearl Bowers Arbogast. He retired from Nelson Tree Service and later, he and his wife, started S&C Tree Service. He was a past member of the Eagles in Chardon, he enjoyed dancing and singing to Elvis, gardening, canning, hunting but mostly loved spending time with his family. Sam was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary Christine Pepper Arbogast, siblings Allen, Don, Jerry Joe, John "Mutt", Maxine, Betty and Juliette "Tootle". Survivors include his children Samantha Quiggle, Tamatha "Tammy" (Alan) Arbogast-Nix, Ira Lou (Eric) Sharp and Sammie Jo Arbogast; extended children Katina Dunaway, Rock Dunaway, Kelly (John) Schreckengaust and Kim Quiggle; 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; siblings Philip "Dale", Jeff David, Robert, Claude, Aminthamea, Louise "Peewee" and Mary "Bootsie" as well as several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Also surviving is his beloved canine companion, J.J. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Bishop Eric Sharp officiating with burial to be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
