JACK D. JUNKINS, age 92, of Mt. Sterling, Ohio (formerly of Shadyside, Ohio) passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, January 24, 2025, with his devoted caretakers Pam Scott and Randy Collins at his side.

He was born on November 26, 1932, in Centerville, Ohio to the late Joseph Paul and Hazel (Haught) Junkins. Jack graduated from Shadyside High School in 1950, served in the United States Navy and then became a member of the Ohio Highway State Patrol.

Preceding him in death were his siblings, Paul Junior (Paula) Junkins of Shadyside, Ohio, and Carole (Barney) Junkins Helms of Centerville, Ohio.

Survivors include his sister, Sue Junkins of Shadyside, Ohio; daughters, Karen Sue Fusek Hathaway of Columbus, Ohio and Jacqueline Brooke Junkins of Indianapolis, Indiana; niece, Tamara Sue (Don) Bostic-Weber of St. Clairsville, Ohio; nephews, Greg (Karen) Helms of St. Clairsville, Ohio, and Rick (Emmy) Helms of Centerville, Ohio. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

The family has made private funeral arrangements.
