JACKIE RONALD “JACK” ANDERS, age 85, of Washington CH, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at his home.

He was born on December 26, 1940 in Washington CH to the late Herbert and Ruth (Leasure) Anders. He was a 1958 graduate of Washington High School. Jack proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He had worked at Armco Steel for thirty-plus years and retired from the Orient Correctional Facility where he worked as a correctional officer. He enjoyed being outdoors, farming, attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his son, Maxine Anders.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Alice C. (Cohmer) Anders, whom he married on January 30, 2016; his son, Jack (Betsy) Anders; stepsons, Denny (Kelly) Smith, and Dusty (Kellie) Smith; grandchildren, Jack “BJ” Anders and his fiancé, Chelsi Ertel, Luke Anders and his fiancé, Danielle Wilt, and Hannah Anders; step-grandchildren, Megan (Ryan) Combs, MaKenzie Smith, Ryan Smith, and Sara Smith; great-grandson, Barrett Anders; and step-great-grandson, Ward Combs.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Butcher officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
