JAMES E. "JIM" MERRITT, age 79, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.

He was born on July 13, 1943 in Fayette County to the late James Porter Merritt and Helen Frazier Merritt. Jim was a retired truck driver for New Holland. He was a Trustee and member at Victory Church. Jim was a US Army and National Guard Veteran. He loved witnessing for the Lord and going camping.

Survivors include his dear wife, Rosa Johnson Merritt; son, Tony (Darlene) Merritt of Washington CH, Ohio; daughter, Tina (Andy) Everetts of New Holland, Ohio; sister, Laverne "Fifi" (Gary) Paul of Kettering, Ohio; granddaughters, Cortney, Tori, and Tiffany; and great-grandchildren, Madi, Alexander, and Lainey.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Fletcher.

Funeral services will be at 2:00PM on Monday, June 26, 2023, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Pastors Josh Estes and Vernon Luttrell officiating. Visitation will be after 12:00 on Monday at the funeral home.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at the Washington Cemetery in Washington CH, OH with Rev. Joe Duvall officiating.
