DR. JAMES LYNVILLE "LYN" JACKSON, age 84, left the suffering of this present time and entered into enteral glory on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at his home in Washington CH. Pastor Lyn founded Bible Baptist Temple in 1982 and continued as Pastor until he retired in 2020. He was loved and cherished by everyone who knew him both in this community and at Heritage Baptist Church in Chesterfield, Virginia, where he lived with his loving and devoted wife, Phyllis.

Pastor Jackson held various jobs alongside his role as a pastor, yet he consistently shared the message of the Gospel with everyone he met. He preached that Jesus died for our sins, rose on the third day, and will return to welcome all who believe in Him.

Pastor Jackson was born on October 18, 1940 in London, Kentucky to the late James Howard Jackson and Dorothy (Oakley). When Lyn and Phyllis joined together in marriage and ministry, he gained a loving extended family in Chesterfield, Virginia, which he cherished deeply. This family included his children, Dr. Deron Jackson (Shelby), Gina Morton, Geri Alexander (Kelly), and Leah White (Bill). He also welcomed bonus grandchildren, Joshua Williams (Ana), Beth Wells (Patrick), Ashley Lindsay (Chris), Emily Mitten (Colton), Courtney Burdette (Jared), and Holly Glenn (Austin); and bonus great-grandchildren, Abby, Noah, Jacob, Levi, Lanie, Gannon, Grayson, Gunner, Addyson, Wyatt, and Selah.

He also leaves behind his brother, Alan Jackson (Sue) from Mt. Orab; and sister, Sue Williams (Curt) from London, KY. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and many family and friends who witnessed the evidence of God's goodness and grace throughout his life.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice of Ohio and especially to his Nurse, Rebekah Valentich.
