James E. MacDonald, 72, was born in Santa Monica, California on July 15, 1950 and passed away in his home on November 26, 2022 of Alzheimer's disease. He was a resident of Washington Court House for the past 35 years.

He is survived by his wife Deborah MacDonald(Crummy), step-son, Shawn Remington and wife Angela. Three grand-daughters Stella, Zoey and Lilly Remington. Daughter Sarah MacDonald. Multiple nieces and nephews and extended family members.

He is preceded in death by his parents Jack and Agnes MacDonald both of Los Angeles. Jack was an engineer for the city of Los Angeles and Agnes was an English teacher. He was also preceded by son Jason MacDonald of Washington Court House, Ohio.

Jim was a general contractor. He was a talented craftsman and loved building with creativity. He had a bachelor's degree in network communication and enjoyed working with technology and computers among many other interests in his spare time.

He had a love for life and in his younger years he was often found spending time sailing, surfing and enjoying the ocean and beaches of California.

Jim continued his creative talent throughout his life and into his later years with an interest in metal working and yard art.

He was very proud of building with his own two hands the addition to the lovely home in which he and Deborah had raised their two sons and shared many memories and countless humorous stories throughout the years. He loved his family dearly. Jim's endearing robust laugh and shining blue eyes will always be remembered and sadly missed.

Memorial service will be held at Summers Funeral Home 223 W. Market St Washington Court House, Ohio Saturday December 10, 2022 from 12:00 P.M to 2:00 P.M.
