JAMES "JIM" H. STEVENS, age 66, of Washington CH, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2014 at 8:30 p.m. at the Dayton VA Medical Center. He was born on May 2, 1947 in Greenfield to Howard Jr. "Steve" and Vivian Johnson Stevens, both deceased. He had worked for more than 20 years at Chappell Door. He proudly served his country in the US Marines during the Vietnam era. He enjoyed CB radio where his handle was "Wolf Man". He had been a previous member of the Court House Classic Car Club. He enjoyed coon hunting and loved spending time with his family. Jim is survived his wife, Janet Jackson Stevens, whom he married on April 12, 1977; his children Howard R. "Rusty" Stevens, Billie Jo (Barry) Leslie and James "Jimmy" Jackson all of Washington; grandchildren Kodi, Karena and Kolton Jackson and Breanna and Sarah Leslie; his sister Connie (Max) Kilgore of Tennessee; nephews Craig, Chip and Scott Kilgore and special friends Harold Hurles and Fred Faulkerson as well as a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Joy Stanforth officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery.
