JANEANN BLOOMER, age 82, of Washington CH, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2015 at her home. She was born on September 8, 1932 in Fayette County to W. W. and Bonnie Garrett Herdman. She was a graduate of Good Hope High School and had also attended Miami University. She served as Secretary to the Fayette County Agricultural Society for more than 30 years before retiring in July 2011. She was a member of the Bloomingburg United Methodist Church, the CCL "Do As You Please Club" and was involved with the Chamber of Commerce. She loved spending time with her family and chatting with her friends on the phone. Janeann was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Malcolm D. Bloomer and her son, Jonathon "Jon" D. Bloomer. Survivors include her children Jay Bloomer and his fiancé, Regina Williams, Julia, and her husband, Kevin Hellenthal and granddaughters, Brittany Hellenthal of Washington CH, Beth (Matt) Neu and great-grandson Aiden of Liberty Township, and Amy (Michael) Bunyard of Washington CH. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Steve Henderson officiating with burial to follow at the Bloomingburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
