JAY DENNIS GORDON, age 63, of Washington CH, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at 5:14 p.m. at the Fayette County Memorial Hospital Emergency Room. He was born on June 7, 1952 in Springfield, Ohio to Harold and Virginia Fink Gordon. He was a 1970 Miami Trace High School graduate and attended The Ohio State University. He received an Associate's Degree in Computer Design from Southern State Community College and was currently working on an Electrical Engineering degree. He was involved in construction and auto mechanics. He enjoyed classic cars, racing and football, especially the OSU Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns. He loved family and especially enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter. He was very patriotic and loved his country. Jay was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Ellen Mae Gordon. Survivors include his son, Jayson Dylan Gordon and grandchild Jaylyn Ellen Marie Gordon; siblings Robert (Brenda) Gordon and Lee Gordon; nephews Heath, Aaron and Anthony Gordon as well as his significant other, Carol Waybrant. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with a gathering of family and friends to take place from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
