JEANNE LYNN JETT, age 64, of Washington CH, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022, at her home. Her death was sudden and unexpected.

She was born on July 11, 1958, in Highland County to the late Glenn William and Phyllis Ann (Freshour) Newlan. She was a graduate of Washington High School. Jeanne was a stay-at-home wife and mother to her two children. She enjoyed listening to all genres of music, talking on the phone, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Jett; daughter, Jennifer L. Jett; siblings, Charles W. "Skipper" Newlan, and Glenna M. Saunders; nephew, Ryan Cox; and brother-in-law, Randy Cox.

Survivors include her children, Lyndsey J. (Chad) Vaughn, Christina (JD) Whitt, Stacy (Roddy) Woods, John Jr. (Carolyn) Jett, and Chastity Wilson; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Patti Cox; and family friend, Tom Slager. Also surviving are several nieces, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 19, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
