JENNIE BEATRICE JINKS, age 95, of Washington CH, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at 7:50 p.m. at Carriage Court of Washington CH.

She was born on June 18, 1921 in Hocking County, to Chester L. and Millie M. Stahr Morris. She was a 1939 graduate of Gibsonville High School. She retired after many years as a sales associate at JCPenney. Jennie was a member of Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, and was also involved in the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed working, doing water aerobics, gardening, and being with her friends, family, and grandchildren.

Jennie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Earnest Norwood Jinks, whom she married on March 15, 1941; and brothers, Homer Morris, and Melvin Morris.

Survivors include her children, Katherine (John) Jenkins, and Patty (Norman) Dennis; grandchildren, Christopher (Amy) Dennis, Tammy (Jason) Mongold, and Aaron (Brooke) Dennis; great-grandchildren, Adam, Cierra, Evan, Allie, Megan, Wyatt, Lucy, and Elliott; one great-great granddaughter, Alexis; siblings, Clara (Homer) Chandler, and Lula Belle (Dale) Daubenmyer; sister-in-laws, Jean Morris, and Katie Morris; and special friend, Martha Kinzer McFadden. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Todd Wallace officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Floral Hills Memory Garden in Circleville.
