JENNIFER "JENNY" SHAW TIPTON, age 52, of Pinehurst, North Carolina, formerly of Washington CH, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at her home. Her death was sudden and unexpected.

She was born on May 17, 1971 in Fayette County to Harry and Judy (Penwell) Shaw. Jenny is a 1989 graduate of Washington High School and earned her associate degree from Columbus State University. Jenny was devoted to her work for the State of Ohio as Director of Human Resources, a career that lasted over 32 years. She was passionate about helping people throughout her career, especially through her close relationship with the State Highway Patrol. After her retirement, she relocated to Pinehurst, North Carolina.

Jenny gave freely of her time, volunteering for the Columbus Crew and the Columbus Cobras. She loved her time spent working concessions at The Ohio State University with all her close friends she made along the way. She loved traveling the country to watch both her sons compete in their respective collegiate athletic programs.

Jenny is the loving wife of Gary Tipton, and they were happily married for 28 years. She is the devoted mother of her two sons Garrett Tipton (24) and Trent Tipton (22), and a loving dog Mom to Marley. Survivors also include her parents, Harry and Judy Shaw; brother, Jeff (Julie) Shaw; nieces, Claire and Kait Tipton, and Molli Shaw; and nephews, Cory Tipton, and Travis and Griffin Shaw.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Washington CH, 214 N. Hinde St., Washington CH, OH 43160, with Pastor Victor Cales officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the Church on Wednesday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
