JERRY D. SEITZ, age 72, of Washington CH, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at 9:15 a.m. at his home. He was born on December 17, 1943 in Highland County, to Leroy and Gladys Larkins Seitz. He had been involved in farming for many years. Jerry was a member of the Southside Church of Christ. He enjoyed sheep shearing, fishing, coon hunting, feeding the squirrels and loved spending time with his family and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Rodgers Seitz, whom he married on August 6, 1982; his children, Penny Sanders (Gerald Jackson) and her children, Lasionna, Larry and Leanna, Geraldine (Danny) Evans and her children, David and Jonathan, and Julie Ann Gray and her children, Jasmine and Alexis and son, Eric Reese; numerous great-and great-great-grandchildren; siblings Walter Seitz, Bill (Mary) Seitz, and Janet Quinonez, half-siblings, Stanley Seitz, John Larkins, Richard (Janie) Larkins, Betty Sword and Linda Davis as well as several nieces and nephews, and the mother of his children, Faye Whaley. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Barry Petitt officiating with burial to follow at the Bloomingburg Cemetery.
