JO ANN CASTEEL, age 68, of Jeffersonville, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014 at 11:33 p.m. at the OSU Wexner Medical Center. She was born on February 15, 1946 in Stockdale, Ohio to Glen R. Sr. and Dorothy V. Beesler Crabtree, She was a 1964 graduate of Eastern Local High School. She retired from the Ohio State University after 27 years of service in the patient financial services. She was a member of the Heritage Memorial Church. She was passionate about her family, loved to read, loved southern gospel music and after losing much of her eyesight, she enjoyed listening to her sister read to her. Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her nephew, Terry Conley. Survivors include her children Robert Glen and his wife, Rachael Casteel and Chelle Casteel; grandchildren Amber (Wes), Ashley (Jason), Brittany, Scott, Amanda, Cody, Torey and Aaron; great-grandchildren Ashtin, Austin, Jeslin, Gavyn and Jaylin; siblings Dorothy "Dottie" Conley, Glen R. (Linda) Crabtree Jr. as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Heritage Memorial Church, 1867 US Rt. 35 NW, with Rev. Joe Duvall officiating. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place at a later date at the Fairview Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
