JOAN BARRETT, age 91, of Greenfield, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023 at Clinton Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Madison County to the late Mildred (Evans) Taylor. She attended Greenfield McClain High School. Joan worked as a bank teller at the former People's National Bank in Greenfield. She enjoyed reading, going to yard sales and thrift stores, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

In addition to her mother, Joan was preceded in death by her daughter, Amy Lyn Barrett; grandson, Heath Beatty; two brothers and one sister.

Survivors include her children, Bubby and Becky Beatty, and Barbara and Roger Duncan; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Greenfield Cemetery with her grandson, Wes Scarberry officiating.
