JOAN E. CAMPBELL, age 87, of Washington CH, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2014 at 9:15 a.m. at the Clinton Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 25, 1926 in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania to Owen and Effa Tressel Young. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Okeechobee, Florida where she had been actively involved. She enjoyed camping and traveling, music and playing the organ and knitting and crocheting. She had worked as an auxiliary at the Raulerson Hospital in Okeechobee, Florida. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Vincent Campbell, daughter Carolyn Murray, step-grandson Chad Ihrig, one brother and two sisters. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Gary and Mary Campbell; grandchildren Eric Murray, Steven Murray, Linda Cruz and Brian Campbell; eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren as well as nephews and nieces, cousins and a host of friends. A graveside committal service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at the Good Hope Cemetery with Danny Dodds officiating.
