JOANN CASTLE, age 69, of New Holland, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at 1:18 p.m. at Hospice of Dayton.

She was born on August 9, 1950 in McDowell County, West Virginia to Ernest and Della Thomas Bott. She was a 1968 graduate of Miami Trace High School. JoAnn retired from the Calmar Corporation in Washington CH. She had been a longtime member at the New Holland Church of Christ in Christian Union. JoAnn was known for being very talented and artistic. She enjoyed crafting and decorating. JoAnn was a very special and loving lady.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Geraldine Little, and Ernest Wayne Bott.

Survivors include her husband, Grover Castle, whom she married on September 4, 1998; and siblings, Coletta Blanton, Frances (Bob) Birchfield, and Brenda Plavsity. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Joy Stanforth officiating with burial to follow at the Bloomingburg Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 4-8:00 p.m.
