JOHN A. "JACK" FERGUSON, age 73, of Washington CH, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 2:45 a.m. at the St. Catherine's Manor. He was born on October 6, 1940 in Bloomington, Ohio to Kenneth and Ruth Chamblin Ferguson. He retired from PPG and also worked for many years as a floor guard at the Roller Haven. Jack was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Donna Haley. Survivors include his wife, Carrie Matson Ferguson, whom he married on March 24, 1961; his children Alan Ferguson of Waynesville and Jackie (Rodger) Ellison of Washington; grandchildren Jack Henry Ferguson, Abbie Ellison and Parker Ellison; step-grandchildren Scott Spires and Brandyn Ellison; siblings Dale (Betty) Ferguson of Bowersville and Marjorie (John) Emrick of Washington CH; brother-in-law James Haley of Sabina as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Ferguson officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery.
