JOHN D. HUNT, SR., age 70, of Washington CH, formerly of Sabina, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2015 at 11:05 a.m. at the Fayette County Memorial Hospital. He was born on July 7, 1945 in Circleville to the late Samuel J. and Goldie "Jean" Dennis Hunt. He was a 1964 graduate of Sabina High School. He retired from Mac Tool after 43 years of service. He enjoyed softball, baseball and bowling. He was a diehard fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, computer games and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. John is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary K. Barnes Hunt, whom he married on August 29, 1965; his children John David Hunt Jr. of Circleville, Amy "Jo" (Michael) Kvarness of Washington CH, Lori (Russell) Harter of Jeffersonville and Samantha "Jean" (Randy) Hester of Leesburg; grandchildren Michael Hunt, Kami (Brandon) Thomas, Matthew Cordial II, Bridget Cordial, Ashley Barker, Tim Harter, Zach Rumer, Austin Harter, Wes and Hunter Rumer, Emily, Thorne and Kenzie Hester, Tyler, Meghin, Rachel and Ryan Kvarness; great-grandchildren Julien, Dominic and Bradly Hunt, Haylee Davey, Bryleigh Barker, Nathaniel Cordial, Contessa Thomas, Nicolas, Diana, Christopher and Sophie Cordial, Christian and Kyler Kvarness; sister Ann Garringer of Sabina; nephews Steven (Carletta) Garringer and Jeff Garringer; niece Anita (Jay) Lansing as well as several great-nieces and nephews. Also surviving is his grand-dog, Macy. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Rev.
