JOHN M. MOORE SR., age 69 of Greenfield, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2016 at 1:38 a.m. at Grant Medical Center. He was born on October 14, 1946 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Roy O. and Mollie Hannah Moore. He had retired from the International Union of Operating Engineers Local #18 as a heavy equipment operator. He loved being with his family and grandchild. He enjoyed going to auctions, garage sales, tractor pulls, taking road trips and nature. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Robin Kay Davis, siblings, Bill, Jim, and Benny Moore and Juanita and Elizabeth Maynard. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Daniels Moore, whom he married on October 22, 1966; his son John M. Moore Jr. and granddaughter, Erika Lynn Davis; siblings Robert Moore and Marie (William) Davis; in-laws Danny and Annette Daniels, Fred and Vicki Daniels, Larry and Lois Tatman, Robert Daniels, Sherrie Thompson and Brenda Daniels as well as several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 15, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Charles Wertz officiating with burial to follow at the Beaver Union Cemetery.
