JOHN M. SHILTZ, age 57, of Washington CH, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at 9:06 a.m. at the Adena Fayette Medical Center. His death was sudden and unexpected.

He was born on April 11, 1964 in Fayette County to Harold and Virgie (Davis) Shiltz. John worked as a small engine mechanic and was employed at the old Frenches Hardware until it closed. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and being with his beloved family and grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his parents; paternal grandparents, Charles Cameron (Nora) Shiltz; and in-laws, Robert "Bob" (Mary) Oliver.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Tammy Sue (Oliver) Shiltz, whom he married on November 25, 1984; his children, Danielle Nicole (Josh) Mongold, Kimberly Aparicio, and John Marvin Shiltz II and his fiancée, Whitney Hawkins; grandchildren, Hunter, Julian, Macy, Juan, Kinzley, Harold, Weston, JJ, Alivia, Gracelynn, and Chloe; siblings, Rick (Misty) Shiltz, Danny (Erica) Shiltz, Paul (Sandy) Jones, Ronnie Shiltz, Paulette Sigman, Connie Saffel, Eleanor Mateo, and Kathy Shiltz; and special friend, Jay Carter. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at the Summers Funeral Home from 4-6:00 p.m.
