JOHN ALFRED TROUTE, age 78, of Washington CH, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 8:05 p.m. at the Court House Manor Nursing Home.
He was born on February 23, 1938 in Washington CH to Raymond and Mary Coulter Troute. He was a 1956 graduate of Washington Senior High School. He was involved in auto part sales until his retirement in 2009. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force. While there, he spent a year in Alaska where he was in charge of running a power plant. John was a faithful member of the Church of Christ on SR 38 and also the former Millwood Church of Christ. He was baptized by Oliver Johnson on May 7, 1950 and also served as a Deacon for several years. He enjoyed collecting clocks and watches.
John was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Samuel Troute.
Survivors include his wife, Pansy Corns Troute, whom he married on August 3, 1963; his children Leah (Randy) Truman and Rosanne Huffman; grandchildren Shyanne, Jessica, Matthew, Michael, Shawn, Sara, Shawnee; great-grandchildren Payton, Zayden, Eli, Braylon, Gracie, Alison, Jordan and Diamond; sister-in-law Myrtle Troute; brothers-in-law Max (Becky) Corns, Kenneth (Kathleen) Corns as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of Christ on SR 38 with Minister Bill Myers officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
