JOSHUA TYLER ROBERTS, It is with deeply saddened hearts that we report the news of the tragic and untimely passing of Joshua Tyler Roberts, 33 years old and formerly of Washington Court House. He was a former employee of Crestar Company in Washington Court House. Joshua suddenly passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026, at approximately 9:45 a.m. at his home in Tunnelton, West Virginia.

Joshua was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Joyce (Mersing) Hardman of West Virginia, Judith (Matthews) Roberts, and Jan (Caudill) Henry; his grandfather, Clarence (Bo) Henry; and his brother, Jordan Tyler Fall.

Joshua is survived by his father, Darrell Roberts; mother, Renee (Henry) Roberts; brothers, Zachary Roberts and Cameron Fall; sister, Sarah Roberts; mother, Teresa Hoit; stepfather, James Hoit; grandfathers, Darrell Roberts and Charles (Bud) Hardman. Joshua also left behind several loving cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. He was deeply loved.

Those who knew Josh will remember his loving smile, kind heart, and sensitive spirit. Autistic, he was highly functioning and amazed those around him with his superior intellect and abilities, one minute discussing quantum physics or religion, the next discussing plant biology and survival skills. He was a highly accomplished outdoorsman and naturalist, hiking, cliff jumping, free climbing, and traversing across the Appalachian Trail for weeks at a time with very little in the way of food and supplies. Josh was a beautiful treasure that will be deeply missed. Private celebrations of life will be held at a future time.
