JOYCE L. DILLEY, age 83, of Washington Court House, passed away at 8:41 p.m. on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Signature Healthcare of Fayette County. She was born on December 10, 1940 in Fayette County and was the daughter of the late Charles and Mildred Merritt Pendergraft. On April 21, 1960, she married Robert Dilley who preceded her in death on September 22, 1998.

Joyce had worked in Fayette County as a Home Health Aide for many years. She enjoyed playing card games with her family on any occasion, especially the games five hundred rummy and five-dollar rummy and euchre. Joyce also enjoyed playing scratch off lottery games, crocheting, taking rides, The Young and The Restless, listening to the latest gossip and spending time with her children who she loved so very much

Survivors include her children, Dee Ann (Rick) Hart, Robin (Ben) Norman and Bob (Michele) Dilley; her grandchildren, Joycelyn "Morgan" (Dana) Wood, Stefan (Tisa) Shields and Bobby, Devin and Renae Dilley; and her great-grandchildren, Layla, Lyndi, Anniston and a baby boy that's on his way. Also surviving are her siblings, Jacklyn Deskins, Jerry (Jeanette) Pendergraft and Jan VanBrunt; and her special friends, Jessica Mires and Bill Vinion and several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

In addition to her parents and loving husband, Joyce was preceded in death by her brothers, E.L. and Jr. Pendergraft and Jewell Dilley.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life honoring Joyce will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2024, in the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Don't forget to bring your quarters!
