JOYCE ANN EVERHART, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 8:15 a.m. at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born on August 2, 1939 in Fayette County to Hubert and Sarah Wilson Sword. She had attended Washington High School. Joyce retired in 2014 from Frisch's after 50 plus years of service. She started there when she was 16 years old. She attended the Gathering Place and she enjoyed camping, gardening, flowers and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Everhart, sons, Barry and Terry Joseph, and brother, Ricky Sword and her canine companion, Sassy. Survivors include daughter, Stacy (Rodney) Everhart; grandchildren, Cameron (Jessica) McCown, Mercede (Justin) McCown, Sarahana Knisley, Leslie Calentine, David (Melissa) Joseph and Jerry Joseph; step-mother to the McDaniel and Everhart children; several great-grandchildren, several step-grand and step-great-grandchildren; siblings, Arbie (Charles) Yahn, Ronnie (Sue) Sword, Steve (Joni) Sword and Vicki (Danny) Leeth as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of special friends. Also surviving is her canine companion, Cloey. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grace Community Church, 525 Glenn Ave., with Pastor John Pfeifer officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery.
