JUDITH ANN BLAIR, age 77, of Washington CH, was surrounded by her loving family when she went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 11:43 p.m.
She was born on December 6, 1939 in Fayette County, where she had been a life- long resident, to Harold E. and Virginia May Stookey Jones. Judith was a homemaker where she cared for her children and grandchildren. She was a 1958 graduate of Jeffersonville High School. She had been an active member of the Good Hope United Methodist Church, she helped provide the meals for the monthly Good Hope Lions Club meetings, and had volunteered at "The Well at Sunnyside". She was a great cook, loved gardening, going to yard sales with her good friend Lora Deskins, and working in her flowers.
Judith was preceded in death by her parents, brother at infancy, Hartley Jones, daughter-in-law, Tracy Blair and her in-laws.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Blair Sr., whom she married on August 12, 1959; her children, Jack Jr. (Tammy) Blair, Bob (Teresa) Blair, and Steve Douglas Blair; seven grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and twelve step-great-grandchildren; siblings, Harold "Buck" (Carolyn) Jones, Donna Jean Johnson, and Carole Schmeltzer; brother-in-law, Bert Blair; special Aunt Alice "Peach" Ackley as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to granddaughter, Jessica, for the special care and attention that she gave to her grandmother during the last several weeks.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds and John Silveous officiating with burial to follow at the Good Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
