JUDY BELLE CARTER, age 77, of Washington CH, completed her journey home on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 4:21 a.m.

She was born on September 7, 1943 in Ross County to Clifford and Emily (Richards) Barnhart. She was a 1961 graduate of Greenfield McClain High School. Judy worked in retail up until her retirement in October of 2020. She was a long-time member at Heritage Memorial Church. Judy was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed sewing, cross-stitching, word search puzzles, Hallmark Christmas Movies, and being with her family.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Betty Goddard, Clifford "Bub" Barnhart, Melvin Barnhart, Jake Barnhart, Raymond Barnhart, Harold Barnhart, and Jerry Barnhart.

Survivors include her children, James (Heather) Carter, and Renee (Roger) Loyd; grandchildren, Michaela Brooke Carter, Kelsey Gabrielle Carter, Zachary Aaron (Stephanie) Loyd, and Leah Danielle Loyd and her fiancé, Jerad Matthews; great-grandchildren, Evangeline Davis, Case Matthews, Aiden Loyd, Annistyn Loyd, and Anderson Loyd; sisters, Jean Snider, Mary Ann Nace, and Lillie (Thomas) Meyers; and sisters-in-law, Carolyn Barnhart, Tania Barnhart, and Heidi Barnhart. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear and special friends.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 8, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Barnhart officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
