JUDY LYNN SHAW, age 77, of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at her home. She was born on January 19, 1947 in Washington CH to the late Joseph and Clarabell Butcher Penwell.

Judy was a 1965 graduate of Washington High School and worked as a Teacher's Aide for Fayette Progressive School for more than twenty years. Judy attended the Gregg Street Worship Center and enjoyed reading in her spare time.

In addition to her parents, Judy is preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Shaw Tipton, and brother, Danny Penwell.

Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, Harry Shaw, Jr., whom she married on September 10, 1965; her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Julie Shaw of Grove City; son in-law, Gary Tipton of Pinehurst, North Carolina; grandchildren, Travis (Lindy) Shaw, Molli Shaw, Griffin Shaw, Garrett Tipton, and Trent Tipton; great-grandchildren, Ryann and River Shaw; siblings, Juliana (Steve) Cole, David (Troi) Penwell, and Toda (Gary) Shrout; and special friends, Vivian Thomas, and Barb Jones. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held at the Summers Funeral Home on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with Joy Stanforth officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday afternoon from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
