KAREN SUE ARLEDGE, age 65, of Washington CH, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 1:55 p.m. at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. She was born on September 7, 1949 in Greene County to Albert and Hazel Sheese Coder. She had worked at Helfrich's and Ev's Market. She enjoyed watching CSI, Westerns, Cop shows, working crossword puzzles and was a collector of pigs. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and her canine companion, Smokie. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Jerry and Mike Coder and Barb Weaver. Survivors include her husband, William "Bill" Arledge, whom she married on August 15, 1966; her children Donna (Chris) Hart and Billie Jo (Mark) Copas; grandchildren Alan Hart and Julianne Copas; siblings Tom (Sarah) Coder, Phyllis (Jim) Grooms, Joanne Thornhill and Sheila (Tom) Sears as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery.
