KEITH ALLAN SNYDER, age 82, of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at 11:35 a.m. at his home while surrounded by his family. He took his final breath listening to Amazing Grace.
He was born on January 3, 1940 in Flint, Michigan to the late Lewis J. and Edna M. (Johns) Snyder. Keith proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps. He was stationed in Guam where he served as a military police officer. After an honorable discharge from the military, Keith started his career as a truck driver until his retirement. He attended the New Life Chapel and the Burning Bush Community Church in Washington CH. He enjoyed woodworking, the music of Neil Diamond, going to yard sales, making people laugh, and spending time with his beloved family.
In addition to his parents, Keith was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra F. (Wilson) Snyder, whom he married on July 1, 1970; infant children, William Keith Snyder, and Norma Jean Snyder; grandson, Christopher Mark Hembree; siblings, Alice Dafoe, Don Snyder, and Norm Snyder; and mother of five of his children, Josephine Tyquiengco.
Survivors include his children, Peggy Jo Baker, Sharon Rose (Dan) McClain, Christine Marie McKenzie, Lisa Ann Gatton, Tina Louise Snyder, and Raymond Keith Snyder; grandchildren, Peggy, Robert, Eric, Alex, Josh, Kyle, Phillip Daniel, Devynn Marie, David Keith, KaSandra Rose Ray Ann Marie, Brittany Jo Danielle, Kyle Jeffery, Tiffany Ann, and Keith Allen; and numerous great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his older brother, Ken Snyder, whom he admired and confided in his entire life. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
