KENNETH EUGENE FUNK, age 74, of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 12:47 p.m. at his home. He was born on September 25, 1941 in Highland County to Thomas Earl Funk Sr. and Minnie Marie Dillon Funk Deistchle. He had worked with the Foster Kelly and Gary Mickle Farms. He had attended the Bookwalter CCCU Church. He enjoyed fishing, was a John Deere tractor collector and working on cars and tractors. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, son Kenneth Eugene Funk Jr., brother Tom Funk and his beloved pets, Chance and Queenie. Survivors include his wife, Rosalee Taylor Funk, whom he married on September 26, 1960; his children Rose Marie Riley, Dollie Mae (Gary) Gragg, Martine Eugene Funk and Eugenia Lynn Graham; 14 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; siblings Donnie (Sharon) Funk, Larry Funk, Ronnie (Patty) Funk, Nancy (Roger) Taylor, Linda (Eddie) Wynne, Betty Jane (Barts) Lute; sister-in-law Peggy Funk as well as several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Groves officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12 p.m. until the time of the service. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Highlawn Cemetery and everyone is invited to meet at that location.
