KENNETH LEE "KENNY" RUTH, age 75, of Greenfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at the VA Medical Center in Chillicothe.
He was born on January 27, 1950 in Good Hope, Ohio to the late Irene (Jones) Chamberlain. He was a 1968 graduate of Miami Trace High School. After graduation, Kenny proudly joined and served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era where he was stationed in Korea. Kenny retired from Weastec in Greenfield where he had worked as a forklift operator. One of the major highlights in his life was taking the Honor Flight in 2024. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, volunteering his time as a softball coach, a fire chief in Wayne Township, a booster for the Chillicothe Paints, and being an active participant in Relay for Life; he also loved spending time with his grandchildren and attending their activities.
In addition to his mother, Kenny was preceded in death by his infant son, Kevin Ruth and sister, Juanita Strunk.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Ruth Ann (Carson) Ruth, whom he married on July 14, 1973; his children, Krissy (Bill) Cooper, and Kenny Ruth; and grandchildren, Karleigh Cooper, and Carson Cooper. Also surviving are several cousins and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Washington CH with Pastor Bobby Seymour officiating with burial to follow at the Good Hope Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the church on Monday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Honor Flight Columbus, PO BOX 20133, Columbus, Ohio 43220.
