KENNETH C. SMITH, age 93, of Washington CH, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2015 at 5:17 a.m. at the St. Catherine's Manor where he had been a patient for the past five days. He was born on December 22, 1921 in Fayette County to Homer and Cecile Day Smith. He was a 1939 graduate of Greenfield High School. He was a farmer. Kenny proudly served his country in the US Air Force during WWII. He joined the Fayette County Sheriff's Auxiliary as a Deputy Sheriff in 1962. He enjoyed cutting wood, camping and trap shooting. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Annalee Thomas Smith. The graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Cochran Cemetery with Joy Stanforth officiating. There will be no viewing. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of Fayette County, 222 N. Oakland Ave., Washington CH, OH 43160. Arrangements are under the direction of the Summers Funeral Home.
