LARRY DALE DAVIS, age 72, of Washington CH, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at his home after an extended illness.

He was born on June 10, 1951 in Highland County, Ohio to the late Everett and Imogene Davis. Larry obtained his GED and lived most of his life in this area.

He was employed at Bodycote Thermal Processing in London, Ohio until his health began to decline in 2005. Larry's family described him as being, "the life of the party!" He enjoyed spending time with his faithful canine companion, "Princess," he was an avid Green Bay Packers and Ohio State fan, and he loved being a grandpa!

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Jo Davis; grandson, Drendyn Yahn; and his sister, Madonna Bellamy.

Survivors include his children, Miracle Dawn (Cindy Hidy) Thurman, Destiny (Emory Parks) Davis, Chasity (Danielle Coleman) Davis, Contessa (Samuel Curl) Davis, and Matthew (Julie) Massie; grandchildren, McKenzie Brill, Trenton (Karlee) Davis, Haleigh (Daniel Murphy) Davis, Dillon Lehman, Kayden Penwell, Ta'Kyia Yahn, Michael Martin, and Kyle Martin; great-grandchildren, Greyson Davis, and Kyngston Murphy; and siblings, Candy Sue Turner, and Bill Davis. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby Seymour officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. In keeping with his wishes, cremation will follow.
