LEONARD "LEE" RUNYON, age 81, of Washington CH, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Court House Manor.

He was born on October 28, 1942 in Hillsboro, Ohio to the late Robert and Nettie (Craft) Runyon. Lee worked on turbo engines in a factory for many years. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era from 1961-1963. Lee attended Heritage Church and Rose Avenue on Friday and Saturday evenings. He enjoyed stock car racing and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Ruth Runyon; and siblings, James Runyon, and Alice Hinson.

Survivors include his loving wife, Diane Marie (Young) Runyon, whom he married on December 15, 2012; his children, Keith (Brenda) Runyon, Brian (Lisa) Runyon, and Shelia Ramey; several grandchildren; and siblings, Beverly Matthews, Dick Runyon, and Robert "Bobby" Runyon. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at Heritage Church, 1867 Old US 35 NW, Washington CH, OH 43160, with Joy Stanforth officiating. Family and friends may visit at the church on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation will follow and burial will be held at the Milledgeville-Plymouth Cemetery at a later date.
