LEROY HERCHEL MOORE, age 84, of Washington CH, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at his home.

He was born on March 17, 1938 in Clermont County, Ohio to the late Melvin and Ida (Fitch) Moore. Leroy lived most of his life in the local area and was employed as a Supervisor at Mac Tools until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, taking train rides, and was a highly skilled mechanic.

In addition to his parents, Leroy was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy Moore, and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his longtime companion of 26 years, Winnie "Rose" Gregory; his children, Bill Moore, Jeffrey (Kim) Moore, Danny (Rhonda) Moore, Donald Moore, John (Sandi) Moore, and Richard Moore; his "adopted" children, Patti Havens, Nola Humphrey, and Cathy Bond; fifteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren; brother, Lester Moore; and his beloved cats, Striper, Striper, Jr., Rastas, Callie, and Muffin. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 30, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Chaplain Jeff Davis officiating. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Monday evening from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
