LINA MAE SPARGUR, age 84, of Jeffersonville, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 2:15 p.m. at her daughter's home.

She was born on September 26, 1933 in New Holland to Ernest and Maude M. Rohrer Howard. She was a 1951 graduate of New Holland High School and attended nursing school at Fayette County Memorial Hospital. Lina worked as an LPN for Quiet Acres and Hurless Nursing Homes. She was a member at the Jeffersonville United Methodist Church and was also involved in the United Methodist Women's Group. She enjoyed going to church, family dinners, going out to eat, and being with her family and friends.

Lina was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim Spargur, whom she married in September of 1966; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret E. (Meade "Lum") Edwards; and nephews, Tim Pierce, and Ken Albright.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Randi (Jim "Ozzy") Osborne; grandson, Brittan Bach and his girlfriend, Bretta Baker; great-grandson, Nathaniel Bach; nieces, Connie Pierce, and Diane Albright; and special friend and second daughter, Mandy Ogan. Special thanks to Mandy Ogan, Connie Pierce, Jean Ann Lovely, Pastor Tom Knauff, Garnett "Annie" Trip, and Ohio's Hospice of Dayton.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at the Jeffersonville United Methodist Church with Pastor Tom Knauff officiating with burial to follow at the Fairview Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church on Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
