LINDA SUE CARMEN, age 69, of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 3:12 p.m. at Adena Fayette Medical Center.

She was born on September 6, 1953 in Fayette County to the late Wayne E. and June I. (Benson) Newton. She obtained her GED and worked as a nursing assistant at several different nursing homes. Linda was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed playing Bingo, camping, and spending as much time as she could with her family.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford E. Carmen; grandsons, Bryce Carmen and Scott Daniels; and siblings, Nancy Newton and Danny Lee Newton.

Survivors include her children, Wayne E. (Crystal) Carmen, Sherry L. Carmen, and Lori J. Bennett; ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson; and brother, John (Suzanne) Newton. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The viewing will be held on Monday, April 10, 2023 at the Summers Funeral Home from 4-6:00 p.m.
