LOLA MARIE MERCER, age 72, of Greenfield, passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at 1:35 a.m. at her home while surrounded by her family.
She was born on May 15, 1949 in Madison County to William and Olive (Younker) Knisley. Lola retired from Riten Industries in 2011. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed being on the farm, taking long rides in the car, and being with her family.
Lola was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Billy Knisley, Enze (Joann) Knisley, and Saundra Strahler; and brothers-in-law, Barth Elzey, Jim Elzey, Billy Mercer, Edward Mercer, and Kenneth Mercer.
Survivors include her husband, Stanley Allen Mercer, whom she married on June 30, 1990; children, Tammy (Larry) Turner, Tracy (Ed) Kuebler, Jodi Noble, and Regina (Brian Cook) Noble; grandchildren, Skylar (Shawnasie) Turner, Jacob (Meghan) Kuebler, Cody (Randi) Kuebler, Desmond Noble and his fiancée, Bretta Baker, Desaray Williams, Deshay Williams, Asaisha Cook and her significant other, Lauren Hall, and Xavier Noble; great-grandchildren, Grayson, Jamahl, Brooklyn, Oliver, Jace, Lucas, and Nathaniel; siblings, Fred (Cathy) Knisley, Roy (Jana) Knisley, Margaret Elzey, Mary Elzey, Rosie (Jim) Noble, Carol (Ervin) Baldwin, Debbie (Dana) Herman, and Lori Knisley; brother-in-law, Ralph Strahler; and sisters-in-law, Sherry Knisley, and Ruthann (Mike) Thompson. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear and special friends.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Clary officiating with burial to follow at the Good Hope Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 4-8:00 p.m.
