LOUISE SKAGGS, age 93 of Washington Court House, passed away at 6:00 p.m. on September 22, 2021 at her home. Born on October 23, 1927 in Ross County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Pearl Hone Calhoun. In November of 1944 she married Thomas Skaggs who preceded her in death in May of 2007.

Louise had attended school at Greenfield McClain, she enjoyed gardening and taking care of her chickens.

Survivors include her children; Ada (Frank) Taylor of Washington Court House, Harold Skaggs of Virginia, Stella (Joe) Knisley of Washington Court House, Roy Skaggs of Jeffersonville and Marcia Vance of Washington Court House, several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and her nieces and nephews. Also surviving are special friends; Sherry and Norman Thomas and Diane Peacock. In addition to her parents and husband, Louise is preceded in death by her daughter; Martha Berry and thirteen brothers and sisters.

A graveside service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 27, 2021 in Fairview Cemetery, Jeffersonville with Mike Williams officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Monday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Summers Funeral Home.
