LOWELL WAYNE BARNETT JR., age 68, of Leesburg, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2016 at Grant Medical Center. He was born on June 13, 1947 in Columbus to Lowell Wayne Sr. and Dolores M. Calhoun Barnett. He had worked as an electrician where he belonged to the IBEW Local Union #683. He had attended the Leesburg and East Monroe Methodist Churches and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He loved horses, enjoyed farming with his father, cooking and being a part of his family's restaurant business. Lowell was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Dolores "Dodie" Barnett, and grandson, Brandon Blok. Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Sefchick Barnett, whom he married on December 23, 1977; children Terri (Tim) Crumbley, Christina Fulford both of Georgia, Laura (Chris) Rogers of Mt. Orab, Amy Barnett Ford of Wilmington, and Carrie (Jeremy) Lovely of Greenfield; grandchildren Hailee and Abby Lovely, as well as several other grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Also surviving is his mother-in-law, Alberta Sefchick and special sisters, Barbara and Charlotte Tharp. Friends may call at the Summers Funeral Home on Thursday, March 24, 2016, from 6-8 p.m. Cremation will follow.
