LYNN L. (WELSH) DENNIS, age 79, of Frankfort, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at her home while surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 31, 1944 in Fayette County to the late Dennis and Velma Hux Welsh. On September 22, 1963 she married her husband, Tom Dennis, who faithfully cared for Lynn during her illness.
Lynn was a 1962 graduate of Bloomingburg High School, she retired from the Adena School System after twenty-five years of service as a Cook. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, being sure to attend all their sport activities. Lynn also enjoyed cooking and baking, traveling with her husband, playing cards, and always asking whoever walked in the door if they wanted to play a hand.
In addition to her husband, Tom Dennis, Lynn is survived by her children, Mark (Robin) Dennis, Pam (Steve) Gifford, Vic (Jenny) Dennis and Cary Dennis (Danny); grandchildren, Clayton (Morgan) Dennis, Austin (Kendal) Dennis, Justin (Polina) Rivers, Taylor Gifford and her fiancé, Jacy, Collin Gifford and his fiancé, Erika, Meredith (Joe) McQueen, Hannah (Gary) Short and Paul Dennis. Also surviving are six great-grandchildren; and her brother, Bob (Jackie) Welsh along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
In addition to her parents, Lynn was preceded in death by her siblings, Stanley, Jerry, Donald, and Earl Welsh, and Lynda Rogers.
In keeping with the family's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a memorial service honoring Lynn's life will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at The Gathering Place Church. Family and friends may visit at the Church on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
