MADELYN JEAN PETERS, age 72, of Washington CH, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 11:55 a.m. at her home.

She was born on July 21, 1945 in Bloomingburg, Ohio to Charles and Sara Perry Massie. She had worked as a nursing assistant at St. Catherine's Manor and Wintersong Village. Madelyn was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching The Ohio State Buckeyes, and being with her grandchildren.

Madelyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold Peters; and sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and James Collins.

Survivors include her children, Michael Peters, Daniel Peters, Karen (JR) Martindale, and Stacy Peters; grandchildren, Jerry Hunt, Shyanne Chaffin, Brittany Martindale, Amber Whiteside, and Haylee Peters; and siblings, Donald (Marcia) Massie, and Sarah Collins. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 4-5:00 p.m. at the Anchor Baptist Church, 456 Jamison Rd. NW, Washington CH, OH 43160.
