MARGARET MAY BARNHART, age 91, of Jeffersonville, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023 at her home while surrounded by her family.

She was born on October 15, 1931 in Ross County, Ohio to the late Joshua M. and Katherine A. "Katie" (Rayburn) Coder.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Barnhart; grandson, Skylar Bain; three brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include her children, Bill Barnhart, Lilly Hunt, Lois Newton, Alice Wheeler, and Dorothy Stage; sisters, Marjorie Jessing and Louise Matthews; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and thirteen great-great-grandchildren. She had lived the last five years of her life with her granddaughter, Ruby J. Beers.

She had a special love for her grandchildren, Donnie and Randy Barnhart, Destiny and Camden Fitzpatrick, Adalynn and Katilyn Taylor, and Ruby J. Beers. She will be loved and greatly missed by all who knew her.

A graveside service will be held at the Bethel Cemetery on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.
