MARGARET "PEGGY" DEAN, age 76, of Washington CH, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Court House Manor.

She was born on August 12, 1947 in Scranton, Pennsylvania to the late David D. and Mary L. (Duffy) Davis. She was a 1965 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Levittown, Pennsylvania; she continued her schooling at West Chester University where she earned her bachelor's degree in education. Peggy retired after 30 plus years of teaching at Benjamin Franklin Middle School. She was a faithful member at the Grace Community Church in Washington CH where she taught the second grade Sunday School class for many years. She enjoyed painting murals, sewing, going to Church, and she had a passion for all animals, especially horses.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her niece, Doreen McCord.

Survivors include her siblings, Barbara (Don) Hutchins, and Dawn (George) Funari; her nieces and nephews, Colleen (Mark) Simmons, Chris (Deidre) Funari, Jason (Michelle) Hutchins, and Jeff (Jessica) Funari; great nieces and nephews, Nick (Makayla) Funari, Ally Funari, Emma Funari, Jaydon Hutchins, Cody Hutchins, Kaydence Hutchins, and Kaelyn Simmons; and her beloved canine companion, Honey. Also surviving are several cousins and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Grace Community Children's Ministry, 525 Glenn Ave., Washington CH, OH 43160.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Grace Community Church with Pastor Jay Lucas officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the Church on Thursday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
