MARION H. JONES, age 88, of Washington CH, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 4:50 p.m. at his home.

He was born on July 7, 1932 in Fayette County to John Hartley and Anna Florence (Rutledge) Jones. He attended Washington City Schools. Marion was a self-employed maintenance man and 'jack of all trades.' He and his wife, Peggy are current members at the Greenfield Church of Christ and the Washington CH Jaycees. Marion was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle. He enjoyed coaching Little League baseball and basketball, fishing, and being with his family.

Marion was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Herbert Jones, Harold (Virginia) Jones, Raymond (Nellie) Jones, Harry Jones, Hartley Jr. (Lillian) Jones, Ruth (George) Matney, Audry Jones, Betty (Bill) Penwell, and Donna (Bobby) Conger.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Joan (Bonner) Jones, whom he married on July 26, 1960; sons, Steven L. Jones, and Nick L. Jones; granddaughters, Kelsey M. (Nick) Bradford, and Audrey Jones and her fiancé, Jay Luttrell; great-granddaughter, Sadie Jo Bradford; and special nephew, Donald Jones. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear and special friends.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Jeffersonville. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
