Obituary

MARLIN RAY BICK, age 62, of Frankfort, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at his home. Born in Fayette County on August 25, 1962, he is the son of Marvin W. and Barbara E. Butcher Bick, who survives.

Marlin was a 1980 graduate of Washington Senior High School and worked as a self-employed contractor with more than forty-two years of experience in the Fire and Safety Industry. Marlin was known as a very hard worker, and always did what had to be done, giving one hundred and ten percent every time. He was known as kind, selfless, and loving and made everyone that he met feel extremely valued. He had a "heart of gold" and was always there for his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his daughter, Johnna Bick; his grandchildren, Kylan Knapp and Andrew and Nick Bick; his siblings, Leanord (Barb) Bick, Marva (Larry) Fleak and Dennis (Kim) Bick; and his close nephew, Wes Fleak. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Marlin is preceded in death by his son, Nick Bick, who passed away in August of 2022.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2024 in the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor John Pfeifer officiating, with burial to follow in the Highlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
