MARMA L. HARPER, age 73, of Washington CH, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 10, 2014. She was born on June 30, 1940 in New Holland to Ralph and Mary Ater Gatton. She graduated from New Holland School and was a longtime member of the South Side Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School and VBS for many years. Marma was a familiar face in the community as she stayed very involved, and was a longtime employee of Kmart and made many lifelong friends along the way. Most recently she was a valuable team member on the WCH Municipal Court Probation Staff and enjoyed working there very much. She was passionate about supporting mothers and babies, for many years has worked with the LIFE Pregnancy Center and Angels in Waiting Ministries. Marma was preceded in death death by her parents, great-grandmother Harper and grandson, Cody Brant. Survivors is survived by her loving family, including her children Mary Susan (Keith) Woolever, Dawne Harper and Stacey (Nathan Spurgeon) Seitz; grandchildren Ashley (Shane) LeForge, Bethany (Brian) Snider, Kyler (Felicia Dyer) and Brandon Woolever, Megan (John) Seitz, Parker Penwell, Jessica (Chase) Lewis, Dustin Seitz and a baby girl due next month. Never without a baby in her arms she is also survived by great-grandchildren Chloe Shae, Ryleigh Grace, Kinzley Nicole, Lilliannah Elaine, Henry William and a baby boy due in September; sisters Karen (Chris) Smith of Rincon, GA and Robin (Donnie) Beekman of Washington CH as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends Vernon and Joy Stanforth, JoAnn Leach and Sandy McKinney. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at the South Side Church of Christ, 921 S. Fayette St., with Ray Vance and Joy Stanforth officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery.
