MARY ELLEN AMORE, age 73, of Washington CH, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 6:29 a.m. at her home.

She was born on December 30, 1944 in Coshocton, Ohio to the late Paul and Opal Miller Arnold. She was a 1962 graduate of Three Rivers High School and then attended Beauty School in Newark, Ohio. Mary owned and operated A-1 Beauty Salon in Coshocton for many years. After moving to Fayette County with her family, she and her husband, Ron, purchased the Le Ella Lanes Bowling Center. Mary had been a long-time member at the Roscoe United Methodist Church in Coshocton. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, bowling, playing games with her grandchildren, and being with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Ron Lee Amore Sr., whom she married on December 9, 1964; children, Ron Jr. (Diane) Amore of Washington CH, and Teresa (Ernie) Havens of Bellbrook; grandchildren, Ross Amore of Maryland, Anthony (Marcie) Amore of Washington CH, Kyle Amore of California, Andrew Amore of Washington CH, Justin Havens of Bellbrook, and Grace Havens of Bellbrook; first great-grandchild arriving in March; sister, Joyce Lee of Seattle, Washington; nieces, Lora Lee, and Lisa Lee; nephew, Jeff (Angela) Lee; father-in-law, Leo Amore of Savannah, Georgia; sister-in-law, Beverly (Dick) Long of Savannah, Georgia; and niece, Jessica Long of Savannah, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor John Silveous officiating with burial to follow at the Sugar Creek Methodist Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 3-6:00 p.m.
